L2 sociolinguistic competence problems: a study of undergraduate student situation of the Department of Linguistics and Languages

Abstract

General objetive: to determine if the communicative competence of the undergraduate students of english of the Departament of Linguistics and Languajes at UMSA. reveals a tendency towards a concentration on the linguistic rules of the languaje rather than on the socio-cultural norms of communication.
