dc.description.abstractA continuous challenge for teachers of English as a foreign language must be not only to look for new alternatives and strategies to improve the teaching tasks, but also to consider the yoúng student's real and necessary needs which might make learning more fruitful and relevant. In considering the important contributions that reading provides to the learning of a foreign language and assuming limitations and disadvantages of Bolivian students in the field, this study attempts to explore ralternative reading materials and corresponding activities to encourage students to read and to contribute them in the achievement of other linguistic skills from the beginners stage of language learning.es_ES
