The following pieces of work wants to contribute to the renewed interest in the teaching of pronunciation: On Target, In Contact, In Charge Series, Scotts - Roremann, San Andres University; Headway Series, Real Time just to mention same examples. The exercises include work on word stress, streed an unstressed syllables in connected speech an intonation, as well. Pronunciation work starts winth recognition and discrimination exercises and then moves to practice. The intention of exercises is to remind students to pay attention to pronunciation at he segmental level and to help them be aware of their indiviual problems. Book prresent the phonemic chart and phonemic transcripcion in the key vocabulary section. In practice this method, though does not give enough practice on, probably, the most important aspect of pronunciation, Suprasegmental features. How then is the teacher to help students be aware and work on them?. This piece of work aims to equip teachers with new techiques for the teaching of suprasegmental features of pronunciation taking into account the knowledge we have about discourse and communicative approaches in use. The first chapter of this work presents English in the Bolivian context and its teachig, introduciong the problem identified, the solution given the justification and objetives that will guide the work. The fourth chapter presents the new techniques proposed, seen from the natural approach point of view.
