Fonction respiratoire et metabolismes erythrocytaires en haute altitude

Summary.
Different molecules intervene in the regulation of the respiratory function of the red blood cell:
The ATP, the 2-3 DPG and the methémoglobine.
Various authors have demonstrated a different mobilisation of these regulation systems in the erythrocytes, in populations living at high altitude (> 3000 m), as a consequence of the considerable fall of Po₂
The study consists of two parts:
- First, the measurement of the rate of these different elements in the amerindian populations living at high altitude and low lands.
- Second, the detailed study of the energetic metabolism and the reducer metabolism of the erythrocytes in the same populations. The latter study has been realised at the enzyme level. These are molecules which allow all possibilities of regulation, that is to say acclimatization or adaptation…
