Abstract.
This work aims at studying lipid metabolim of individuals living in hipoxia.
Bolivians serum lipids are studied comparatively to those of French individuals.
- Serum total lipids, total cholesteron and triglycerids have ratios within normal standards found in literature.
- The pre-ẞ-lipoprotein fraction is increased; it is balanced by a decrease of the ẞ-lipoprotein fraction.
- The reduction of total serum phospholipids is associated to the decrease of phosphatidylcholines, but the group of phosphatidylethanolamines, phosphatidic acids, phosphatidylglycerols, cardiolipids is increased.
